Check, Please! Promotional Postcard

I was commissioned to do a postcard as part of promotional materials for the self-published edition of Check, Please! Year Four. We were invited to draw anything that inspired us or that we enjoyed from the series, so I decided to draw a scene that always stuck with me – Lardo’s dibs.

I remember reading that comic for the first time and feeling so emotional! I tried to capture that feeling of warmth and genuine happiness in the postcard I drew. April 2022
